【摘要】:Thisclassificationcoversallunusedfullyformulatedhydraulicfluidsintheiroriginalform.Thisclassificationestablishescategoriesfortheimpactofhydraulicfluidsondifferentenvironmentalcompartmentsasshownin.Fluidsareassigneddesignationswithinthesecategories;forexamplePwL,Pwe,andsoforth,basedonperformanceinspecifiedtests.Inthecurrentversionofthisclassificationtheaspectsofenvironmentalimpactincludedareenvironmentalpersistenceofwhichbiodegradabilityisonecomponentandacuteecotoxicity.Althoughenvironmentalpersistenceisdiscussedfirst,thisclassificationdoesnotimplythatconsiderationsofenvironmentalpersistenceshouldtakeprecedenceoverconcernsforecotoxicity.Anotherimportantaspectofenvironmentalimpactisbioaccumulation.Thisaspectisnotaddressedinthepresentclassificationbecauseadequatetestmethodsdonotyetexisttomeasurebioaccumulationofhydraulicfluids.Thepresentclassificationaddressesthefreshwaterandsoilenvironmentalcompartments.Atthistimemarineandanaerobicenvironmentalcompartmentsarenotincluded,althoughtheyarepertinentformanyusesofhydraulicfluids.Hydraulicfluidsareexpectedtohavenosignificantimpactontheatmosphere;thereforethatcompartmentisnotaddressed.Thisclassificationaddressesreleasestotheenvironmentwhichareincidentaltotheuseofahydraulicfluid.Theclassificationisnotintendedtoaddressenvironmentalimpactinsituationsofmajor,accidentalrelease.Nothinginthisclassificationshouldbetakentorelievetheuseroftheresponsibilitytoproperlyuseanddisposeofhydraulicfluids.Thisclassificationdoesnotcoveranyperformancepropertiesofahydraulicfluidwhichrelatetoitsperformanceinahydraulicsystem.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
