【摘要】:1.1Thispracticeestablishesperformancespecificationsandperformancestandardsforthedesign,manufacturing,andmaintenanceofnettingandormeshusedinplayareasandsystemsdesignedforinteractiveplayactivitieswithinamusementattractions.1.2Therangeofusersencompassedbythissafetyperformancespecificationis32in.(0.81m)(2yearsold,5thpercentile)through50in.(1.27m)(8yearsold,50thpercentile),50in.(1.27m)(8yearsold,50thpercentile)through64in.(1.62m)(12yearsold95thpercentile),32in.(0.81m)(2yearsold,5thpercentile)through64in.(1.62m)(12yearsold,95thpercentile),and64in.(1.62m)(12-yearold,95thpercentile)throughadult.1.3Theageslistedinthisstandardareintendedtobeusedasaguidefordeterminingactivitiesanduse.Theheightrequirementsarethegoverningfactor.1.4Homeplaygroundequipment,matrixnets,netsusedas/orinfencing,sportsequipment,fitnessequipment,playgroundequipmentcoveredbyConsumerSafetyPerformanceSpecificationF1487andsoftcontainedplayequipment(SCPE)coveredbySafetyPerformanceSpecificationF1918inareasnotcoveredbyF24standardsarenotincludedinthisstandard.1.5nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Thispracticeincludesanappendix(non-mandatory),whichprovidesadditionalinformation(forexample,rationale,background,interpretations,drawings,commentary,andsoforth.)toimprovetheuserx2019;sunderstandingandapplicationofthecriteriapresentedinthispractice.Theappendixinformationshallnotbeinterpretedasmandatorydesigncriteria.1.6Thisstandardisintendedfornewclimbareasandmajormodifications.1.7Existingclimbareasmayqualifyascompliantforfiveyearsfollowingthedateofthispublicationofthispracticeaslongasanysignificantdesignrelatedfailuresorsignificantdesignrelatedsafetyissueshavebeenmitigated.Thereafter,climbareasmustqualifyasx201C;ServiceProvenx201D;perPracticeF2291ormeettherequirementsofthispractice.1.8Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
